so i sprained the fucking hell out of my wrist this morning and it hurts. a lot.

i can only type with my left hand, it's annoying as hell.

on the other hand i spent 12 hours talking to coconut ice figuring out a plot for bigbang, and i can't remember the last time i had so much fun planning fic.

also i went to pick up my Fringe tickets, my dad bought me 14 plays for my graduation present, and i bought 10 for myself. of the 24, 23 have been planned very specifically as to what time and day i'm see them. i'm so excited for next week!

thirdly, one of my more liked authors (i don't have a FAVOURITE but i like some more then others) has just put out their 8th book in the series in paperback and finally cheap ass me can go buy it.

all in all, pluses outweight negatives. so hooray for today!

*heals your wrist*

And I don't know what Fringe is, so I can't come up with a witty remark to that. I guess you're not talking about the television series.

As for books, I would very much like to read Good Omens. But do you think the bookstores in Norway sell it? Noooo. Seems like fantasy is banned here. Or, I suspect Robin Hobb to have illegally monopolised the market, because her books are everywhere.

as i explained to nuclearsugars, The Fringe is this massive 11 day long theatre festival with about 150 productions, all hosted in like bookstores and coffee shops. one actual theatre has the stage split into four mini stages with huge sound barriers, so you're watching one play on the left side of the room and someone on the right side is watching something completely different. every venue has a play every hour from noon to one am every day, but every day showing order is different so once you decide what you want to see it can take hours to plan a schedule which makes my ocd brain quite happy.

it's so random and indie and cool, anyone can audition a manuscript. tickets are less then 10 bucks but you can buy passes for cheaper. they have fringes all over canada but winnipegs is the second largest, edmonton beats us by maybe a thousand attendies but their population is a third larger then ours so by capita we probably still win. it's from the 15th to the 26th, so as much as i love hp i'm not seeing hbp until the 27th.

i really wish you could heal my hand, it does not feel any better today.

really? i haven't read it but i'm sure they have it, we have a massive scifi section, and a seperate fantasy section that's just as big. do you have a good library system at least?

Ooh, The Fringe sounds fantastic!! I love random and indie and cool. I wish we had something similar here.

And we don't have a good library system either, lol. Well, we have many libraries with many books, but not good books. They’re either from 1950 or written by politicians. Also, when a new book is released, it takes ages before it reaches the stores. Le sigh. Thank God for Amazon.

I hope your wrist is better today! You certainly can’t write your epic bigbang fic with only one hand.

Darling, be VERY careful with that wrist of yours. The more you let it heal now, the better. If you can take ibuprofen, that's good for swelling, just eat something every time you take it.
